Amberjack Season Is Back August 1st

After being cut short early this year, Amberjack Season will reopen August 1st. Into the Blue is booking Summer Fishing Charters and we would love for you to join us for a fun-filled fishing adventure. When fishing for Amberjack, Captain Craig recommends an eight-hour fishing trip to "chase them." Amberjacks will put up quite the chase and are great fighters. Amberjacks are strong and swift in the water. These fish are also known for their exceptional taste when you smoke them. Our captains have everything you need to make your fishing experience successful and safe.

Amberjack Season Recreational Harvest

Earlier this year, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission had an early closure for the Recreational Harvesting of Greater Amberjack. According to the Gulf of Mexico Fishery Management Council website, the 2018/2019 recreational annual target is 902,185 pounds. The yearly catch target sometimes happens during the August through October 2018 Amberjack fishing season. When this happens, we receive an early closure. Fortunately for all you anglers out there anxious to catch that prize fish, we have another chance in August.
